The Lebanese Venom Company (LVC) was established in early 2020 in Qaraoun, West Bekaa, Lebanon, with the goal of becoming a leading supplier of Middle Eastern scorpion venoms for biotechnological applications, supported by our research and development team. LVC currently houses five species of scorpions belonging to genera Androctonus, Hottentotta, Leiurus, Scorpio and Compsobuthus. The scorpions are kept in temperature-controlled rooms with water ad libitum and are fed with mealworms (Tenebrio molitor). The venom is obtained by electrical stimulation and subsequently lyophilized. LVC provides traceability for all its venom samples through strict quality control including SDS PAGE, chromatography, and mass spectral analysis. We receive requests of venom samples for research and large-scale pharmaceutical procedures
